Master gardener receives award

Nelson Peterson receives a surprise award from Nassau County Extension Director/Horticulture Agent Becky Jordi after Peterson presented a Landscape Matters class on how homeowners should best maintain and improve their lawns. Peterson has served as a master gardener volunteer for 10 years, teaching the lawn class for nearly all of those years. He also volunteers in the Extension office and assists with plant clinics.
