Hannah McDaniels, 13, draws a comic book character she created during the “Build a Better Comic Book Hero” workshop at the Callahan Branch Library July 12. Jonny Jimison, creator of The Dragon Lord Saga, and author Michael Regina of the Adamsville series held the workshop to offer tips on how to create heroes for graphic novels and comic books. Olivia Williams, 15, and sister Chloe, 8, speak with Regina as they draw their characters. The workshop was part of the “Build a Better World” adult and teen program offered at Nassau County’s libraries this summer.
