Nassau County 4-H’ers compete in the annual County Events, including public speaking, a talent show, cooking, sewing and photography. Fifteen youth stepped on stage to perform speeches and demonstrations on topics such as preparing animals for show, changing the shocks for your car and arranging flowers. One youth even sewed her own apron to wear during her presentation. Five youth performed during the Share-the-Fun portion, playing guitar and trumpet, singing and performing magic tricks. Several 4-H’ers also competed in the chef-in-training event, which all attendees sampled. Several youth were recognized for photography skills and move on to the state competition. Other youth will perform next at the regional competition in Flagler County in April.
