Take Stock in Children of Nassau County announces that a new executive director will join the team in early November.

Robin Lentz is a 16-year veteran of the Nassau County School District, where she served a guidance counselor, a dedicated advocate and a supporter of children and their families across the county.

She also brings a unique insight into the community that supports this non-profit organization. According to a press release from Take Stock, her service as a Fernandina Beach city commissioner and mayor has prepared her to understand the job-related and economic needs of Nassau County. Her experiences may help guide students toward productive careers and fulfilling life experiences.

Take Stock in Children is a non-profit student mentoring and scholarship program that assists academically-qualified low-income students to reach their greatest potential through higher education. Take Stock helps students stay in school, strive for better grades and ultimately succeed in college. Upon completion of the program, Take Stock students receive four years of college tuition. All scholarship funds raised locally are fully matched by the State of Florida.
