Two Nassau County Fire Rescue employees are assisting victims of Hurricane Michael. Firefighter/paramedic Chris Keane is also sergeant of the First Squadron of the 153rd HHT Calvary Scouts of the Florida National Guard. His squad recently assisted a family’s dog, cooling him with water and providing him with IV fluids. The family had been without power and water for a week and the dog was overheated. Its activity and awareness improved after the intervention. NCFR Battalion Chief Mike Eddins deployed with the Incident Management Team assisting Floridians that have been impacted from Hurricane Michael. He’s pictured with others working in the area.
