The elementary school gifted classes visit Medieval Times Dinner and Tournament in Orlando Nov. 8 as part of their study of the Middle Ages. While at Medieval Times, the students toured a medieval village. Throughout eight cottages, students got a sense of what life was like during the Middle The king, queen, knights and squires presented a 30-minute pre-show, Chivalry in Modern Times. This humorous yet serious anti-bullying show portrayed the importance of treating everyone with kindness and the correct way to respond to certain situations. A feast was served and the horseback jousting tournament began. The students cheered their knight on to victory and, as a result, Lily Faircloth of Hilliard Elementary was selected as the queen of love and beauty.
