Clerk staff aids Nassau FIT students

    Employees of the Nassau County Clerk of Circuit Court and Comptroller office donate a carload of notebooks, pencils, paper and toiletries to children in transitional housing prior to the start of the school year. Clerk John A. Crawford and employees at the courthouse learned of the Families in Transition program’s needs and decided to hold a back-to-school drive to help the 500-plus children in the area who face economic challenges. More than 70,000 homeless school-age children live in Florida. FIT works with Nassau County Schools and partners with the community to offer services children need for educational success.
