The Nassau County 4-H Council put together a holiday fun shop for local kids and teens Nov. 8. Participants learned how to make treats that they can give as Christmas gifts to family and friends. There were five booths where county council members taught other youth how to make soap, cookies in a jar, dog treats, sugar scrubs and duct tape bracelets. The county council is a leadership club that plans events for Nassau County 4-H, such as Christmas parties, award banquets and community service projects. It also represents the county 4-H program at district meetings.
Keep an eye out for upcoming fun shops and other fun 4-H events. For more information about Nassau County 4-H and how to become involved, call 904-530-6353.
