The West Nassau High School Air Force JROTC partners with the local AMVETs and American Legion chapters annually to host a special veterans’ dinner at the high school. This year’s dinner is scheduled for Nov. 7 from 6-9 p.m.
The West Nassau High School Air Force JROTC partners with the local AMVETs and American Legion chapters annually to host a special veterans’ dinner at the high school. This year’s dinner is scheduled for Nov. 7 from 6-9 p.m.
It is a great night of celebration and recognition for veterans’ sacrifices and service. This year the high school cadets would like to make the evening a little more special.
They are asking that veterans email some pictures of themselves in service. They will take all these pictures and create a slideshow that will play on a loop during the evening dinner. They would love to show a picture of veterans when they started service, a current picture to show a before and after and several photos of each veteran throughout his or her service.
Email all photos with your name to FL-955@afjrotc.com by Nov. 1 so the cadets can put the slideshow together.
Several businesses have asked how they can donate to this event. Contact Jackie Black at the American Legion Post 401 at 904-514-4447 and leave a message. She will contact you back. The JROTC, AMVETS and American Legion veterans look forward to visiting with you and your family Nov. 7.
